I have no time and I need an architect that is going to handle everything

Our “One Point of Contact” full service design package, in which we manage all of the multi discipline teams under one umbrella, will save considerable time and money.

Unlike the design of commercial properties; where the development of the property becomes part of your workload, responsibilities are shared, or a project manager is appointed, you may not have as much time as you may like to devote to the design of your luxury home. That is not to say however, that it is of any less importance to you. In fact quite the contrary, it is most likely one of the primary reasons why you have a finite amount of time.

We understand this and we can take care of it.

Saving Time

Family Members

A luxury home is rarely inhabited by one person, it is usually shared with family, a place to retreat to, relax and entertain in. The home must satisfy your aesthetic desires and the individual lifestyle needs of each family member who will live in it. Getting this right and balancing different outlooks sounds time consuming doesn’t it?

Which is why at the start of any project we undertake a comprehensive discovery session in which we explore your overall ideas for the project and the individual requirements of each family member for inclusion into the project. Once this has been established, typically one family member is then nominated to collate all of the feedback from various family members and provide this to us in single reviews at each key stage as we advance through the design process.

Getting it right stage by stage

You may be as involved in the day to day process of your design as you wish. That said, most of our busy clients prefer to do a thorough review of their projects at 4 key stages over the design lifecycle which for a luxury home can be anywhere between 4 to 12 months.

  • Discovery Session – Initial Meeting in which we will discuss your project requirements, preferred styles, lifestyle needs, site specific details, interior design ideas etc.
  • Review of Concept Design – Basically the DNA of your project, in which you will understand through floor plans, 3D imagery, flyover video’s, interior design mood boards etc the direction we propose to take with your project on the base of your discovery session input and provide your feedback to the same.
  • Review of Schematic Stage Design – After receiving your approval to an agreed concept design, the schematic stage release is basically where all of the technical drawings for the project are prepared as required for local authority approval purposes. During this stage all of the engineering, landscaping, interior and architectural design packages are fully coordinated under our direction to provide a fully integrated home design.
  • Review of Detailed Design – The final multi discipline drawing package which explains to the contractor exactly how to build and fit out your home across all disciplines to precise dimensions, specifications etc.

N.B. Should you also prefer to keep your eye on the costs as we advance, cost estimates based on the developing design may be provided at each stage of the design, allowing you to stay in complete control of the budget.

We will take care of the approval process on your behalf with local authorities and any master developer, before having the final bill of quantities prepared for submission to suitable contractors. We will also propose suitably qualified professional contractors for consideration.

“One Point of Contact” - Full Service Design Package

We understand that you don’t have time to manage all of the different consultants required to produce a beautiful and functional luxury home.

That’s why we will provide all of the following key services under our umbrella in our full service design package, meaning you only need to deal with one company – us!

  • Architectural Design
  • Interior Design
  • Structural / Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
  • Cost Consultancy, Bill of Quantity preparation etc

We may also include other disciplines such as landscaping gardening, acoustic consultancy, fire and life safety specialists etc as your project requires.

Our full service design package is basically tailored around you and your needs, we will understand them, inform you what design team your project requires and take it from there.

Dedicated, Specialised Team

After 20 years of creating architectural and interior designs for the luxury home market, we have built up an extensive network of tried and tested engineering and cost consultancy associates who represent some of the most respected service providers in their fields.  Given that we will be responsible for the work of all the consultants developing your full service design, we will only appoint consultants whom we trust and whom we have worked with previously, meaning you will have the peace of mind that there are no surprises around the corner.

Design & Build vs Design, Bid, Build

If you are time poor, the idea of a design and build contract in which the same company designs and builds your new home may seem attractive as opposed to the more traditional route of design, bid then build. Design bid then build is where a specialised design team creates the design, which is then submitted to prequalified contractors for quoting before the successful contractor builds the home.

The Difference

Design & Build – Your luxury home is designed from a builders perspective including what facilitates their construction role.

Design, Bid & Build – Your luxury home is designed to your perspective, by specialist architects, interior designers and engineers before being built by a pre-qualified construction firm.
